The URBSEC Spring Seminars 2017 are Now Scheduled

The URBSEC spring seminar series is now scheduled and open for registration. There will be three seminars that all engage with technological development and social embedding in terms of safety, security, integrity and trust.

  • The first seminar takes place on Wednesday, March 8, when Tomas Olovsson, Associate Professor, Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, Chalmers and University of Gothenburg, will talk about Security and Privacy Challenges for Communicating Vehicles of the Future.
  • The second seminar follows on Wednesday April 5, Rose-Mharie Åhlfeldt, Associate Professor, School of Informatics, University of Skövde, will then give a presentation in Swedish under the title Kommunal informationssäkerhet i en alltmer digitaliserad värld – KLISTER-projektet i Skaraborgs 15 kommuner.
  • Finally, Wednesday May 17 will feature Mikael Johansson, PhD and Researcher at the Gothenburg Research Institute (GRI), University of Gothenburg. His seminar will discuss the topic of Nanoscience, Nanotechnology and Graphene – Risks, Possibilities, and Risk Perception.

As always, URBSEC offers a light lunch to those who have registered (sandwiches, coffee, tea, and water), served from 11:30 in connection to each seminar. The seminars start at 12:00. The location for all seminars is Kuggen, Lindholmsplatsen 1, Chalmers bibliotek, gradängen (Speakers Corner).
